Terms and Conditions for Participation in the PAUSE4Life Program or (PAUSE Program)
Administered by PAUSE4Life, a registered DBA of the Fentanyl Free Communities Foundation (FFCF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting this form, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions as a participant in the PAUSE Program administered by PAUSE4Life, a DBA of the Fentanyl Free Communities Foundation (FFCF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you should not submit this form.
2. Program Administration
The PAUSE4Life Program is a communications campaign established and managed by the Fentanyl Free Communities Foundation (FFCF), operating under its registered DBA, PAUSE4Life. FFCF administers this campaign with the aim of raising awareness about the dangers of fentanyl poisoning and related issues.
3. Use of Name, Image, and Contributions
You hereby grant FFCF and its DBA PAUSE4Life, along with their affiliates, contractors, and subcontractors, the right to use your name, image, and contributions to the PAUSE Program in promotional materials. This includes, but is not limited to, social media posts, advertisements, and press releases. This is a royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license for FFCF to use these materials without compensation.
4. Independent Contractor Status
You acknowledge that your participation in the PAUSE Program is as an independent contractor, not as an employee of FFCF or its affiliates, contractors, or subcontractors. You are responsible for managing your own tax obligations and legal responsibilities associated with independent contractor status. FFCF will provide any necessary tax documentation.
5. Compliance with Messaging Guidelines
To maintain consistency and accuracy, you agree to adhere strictly to the messaging guidelines provided by FFCF. Any deviation from the approved content or messaging strategy is prohibited, to ensure that all information disseminated is accurate and consistent with the PAUSE Program’s objectives.
6. Authorized Sources of Messaging
You commit to using only officially approved messaging from the following recognized and regularly updated sources:
- Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
- National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Additionally, you agree to follow guidance and directives as communicated by FFCF administrators. You may use your own language and style to convey messages, provided that it aligns with the spirit of the official guidelines from these sources.
7. Indemnification and Limitation of Liability
- Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FFCF, its DBA PAUSE4Life, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, subcontractors, affiliates, successors, and assigns from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including without limitation reasonable attorney fees and costs, arising out of or in any way connected to your participation in the PAUSE Program, your violation of these Terms and Conditions, or any infringement of another’s rights.
- Limitation of Liability: FFCF and PAUSE4Life disclaim any and all liability for damages, injuries, or losses, whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive, arising from your participation in the PAUSE Program. This limitation of liability is applicable to the fullest extent permitted by law.
8. Content Ownership and Rights
All content you create for the PAUSE Program may be used by FFCF/PAUSE4Life at their discretion, with full rights to modify, reproduce, distribute, and utilize the content across any media without further compensation or notice to you.
9. Confidentiality and Non-Disparagement
- Confidentiality: You agree to keep confidential any proprietary information shared with you by FFCF/PAUSE4Life during your participation and not to disclose it to any third party without prior written consent from FFCF.
- Non-Disparagement: You agree not to make disparaging comments about FFCF, PAUSE4Life, or their programs.
10. Data Protection and Privacy
Your personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws. FFCF/PAUSE4Life is committed to maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of your personal information.
11. Feedback and Communication
Participants are encouraged to provide feedback or report any issues related to the program through designated communication channels. FFCF/PAUSE4Life will monitor and provide feedback on performance and communications to ensure program compliance and continuous improvement.
12. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to engage in good-faith mediation as a first step toward resolution. This is intended to protect both the participants and FFCF/PAUSE4Life from extensive legal entanglements.
13. Modifications to Terms and Conditions
FFCF/PAUSE4Life reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Continued participation in the program after any modifications indicates your acceptance of the revised terms.
14. Termination of Participation
FFCF/PAUSE4Life reserves the right to terminate your participation in the PAUSE Program at any time, without cause or notice, if it is determined that your continued involvement may negatively impact program objectives or is in violation of any of these Terms and Conditions.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the state of Minnesota, without regard to conflict of law principles.
16. Program Goals and Objectives
The PAUSE Program’s mission is to spread awareness, amplify official government-sanctioned information, and help reduce fentanyl use—whether knowingly or unknowingly—to prevent death from fentanyl and related substances.
17. Compensation and Payment
Participants are compensated as independent contractors, with payments based on influence, engagement, or campaign participation. Payments will be issued via Venmo or other online cash transaction apps, with details provided upon program acceptance.
18. Duration and Scope of Participation
Your duration of participation is based on performance and FFCF/PAUSE4Life’s discretion. Participants may choose to conclude their involvement at any time.
19. Social Media and Real-World Engagement
Participants are expected to use all major social media platforms and engage in real-world communication efforts to disseminate PAUSE Program messages.
20. Training and Support
FFCF/PAUSE4Life will provide participants with up-to-date information from trusted sources like the CDC, NIH, and SAMHSA to ensure they are well-equipped as communicators.
21. Performance Metrics and Evaluation
FFCF/PAUSE4Life will monitor participant effectiveness, with the potential for preferred status or termination based on influence, engagement, and adherence to guidelines.
22. Content Approval Process
Preapproved content will be provided to participants, who may express this content in their own language, provided it aligns with FFCF/PAUSE4Life’s messaging parameters.
23. Age and Identity Verification
Participants must be 18 or older, with age and identity verified through government-issued ID uploaded during the application process.

Participants are encouraged to explore these themes to educate, engage, and inspire positive choices. Participants will also have the opportunity to showcase their work at the annual Creators Impact Festival, which celebrates impactful content.
